A Discussion about Witness with Carrie Specht

In this episode, I talk with filmmaker and film instructor Carrie Specht (Savannah School of Art and Design) about the Peter Weir film "Witness".

What can we learn from the lyricism of Peter Weir? In this episode, we explore the deft touch of Peter Weir who handles his with lyricism and is in some ways more interested in the theme of two world colliding than a standard cop thriller of its time. There is also still a lot to be said for playing a scene out without the need for words. Peter Weir perhaps does get the credit he merits from the industry but perhaps few are aware of the Australian classics he had made like “Picnic at Hanging Rock” and how this helped him prepare for this, his first real Hollywood debut.
